Eindhoven
Eindhoven, in the southern part of the Netherlands in the province of North Brabant on the River Dommel, is the country's fifth largest city, with a population of 225 thousand. It is a key centre of the electronics industry and home to the Philips corporation. DAF factories and the University of Technology are also based here. Among its attractions are the neo-Gothic Church of St Catherine and the Evoluon Museum. The city is well connected thanks to its airport and an extensive rail network. The ideal time to visit is spring and summer, when the temperature is pleasant.
