Doha
Doha, the capital of Qatar, sits on the east coast of the Qatar Peninsula on the Persian Gulf. With a population of more than 2 million, it is the country's economic and cultural centre. It is home to Hamad International Airport and the headquarters of the Al Jazeera television network. The city is famous for its modern architecture and sporting events such as the Qatar Total Open tennis tournament. The best time to visit is the winter period from November to March, when temperatures are milder (20-25 °C).
