Kavala
Kavala is a city in north-eastern Greece on the Aegean Sea. It is the administrative seat of the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. It is home to more than 54 thousand people. Worth visiting are the Byzantine-Venetian castle on the Panagia hill and the aqueduct from the time of Suleiman I. The city is an important trading hub with the Alexander the Great International Airport. The best time to visit is spring and autumn, when temperatures are moderate and ideal for sightseeing.
