Mendoza
Mendoza is a city in western Argentina, the capital of the province of the same name. Set at the foot of the Andes near the Chilean border, it is known for its vineyards and the production of excellent wines, especially Malbec. The city is home to around 115 thousand people, and the official language is Spanish. In Mendoza it is worth visiting Parque General San Martín and sampling the local cuisine. The best time to visit is the months from March to May, when temperatures are mild and the vineyards are full of life.
